Photo: Vegan Potluck featuring Vegan Mac & Cheese Sauce

#WeAppreciateAbundance — Are you sharing the island with me? Join me & my friends at our #VeganPotluck this SUNDAY at 1PM, here at a park in Hilo for incredible, even gourmet dishes. 🥙🌯 And no, you do not have to be vegan or vegetarian to join us! We’re very inclusive 🥰
⁣⁣
⁣Interested? Message me for the specific & details on which park, or if you have questions 🏝 This is actually a photo from our potluck from last month. (Even when I don’t do a great job framing the photo, the food still draws you in. ) ALSO: While I am not the host of this potluck, we do practice social distancing and are mindful and respectful.

Hope to see you!

⁣August was a gem
I hold such Gratitude
It feels like a dream

For, in truth, we DREAM our life
We manifest it

Photo: Pinkish Grey Magic Light at East Hawaii Waterfall poem

ᔕ i n к… into the pinkish grey of magic light
⁣⁣
⁣PONDER the mystery of each forbidden shadow
⁣⁣
⁣I have colors sprayed onto the back of my retinas
⁣⁣
⁣Shimmering with electric blues and brooding infrareds
⁣⁣
⁣Does a color ever remind you of a certain day?
⁣⁣
⁣Does a spectrum ever remind you of a certain age?
⁣⁣
⁣Retina afterglow is the closest we get to seeing ultraviolet
⁣⁣
⁣And we try to taste rainbows, but sometimes
⁣⁣
⁣Only sometimes
⁣⁣
⁣Pinkish grey is a comfort
⁣⁣
⁣Like a womb

Photo: Duck Eggs? A Haiku at Carlsmith Beach Park, Hawaii

Sometimes I am inspired to write a silly haiku. This is an important spiritual practice 😉

This one is about one of the wonderful afternoons I had last week. (Also, it’s tricky to write a haiku with the word “nests,” but there was no getting around it! I also wonder if finding two nests was some kind of strange sign. How many nests have you found this week?)
