My Journey into The Master Cleanse: Day 3

If you haven’t read My Journey into The Master Cleanse (Day 1 of 10) I suggest you read it, as this is a followup entry. It will give background info on what I am doing.

Day Three – Morning

The Smooth Move laxative tea worked very well this morning. So well that I didn’t feel the need to use the salt water cleanse at all. The colon is cleansing itself well, and the morning was basically uneventful.

Highly Productive Day

Because I am becoming ever more accustomed to this cleanse and the routine, I’m become more appreciative that I do not have to set aside time for meals. The preparation, cooking of, and eating of meals takes time: especially the eating part. Today I felt as if I completed two days worth of work. Just this afternoon I made some important phone calls, wrote and published the entry previous to this one, added a new photo album to the gallery, revised all of my project next action lists, and reorganized my boxes in the basement including boxing a dozen books that I’m not going to read in years. An unexpected side-effect of this cleanse: it is giving me a slightly different perception of time, one in which I am able to work for longer periods of time without stopping for meals.

The Net Effect for the 3rd Day

Overall, this cleanse is turning out to require less maintenance than I initially thought. With my energy level above normal, I’m able to get more done than before, not less. Another side-effect is a strange detachment from the eating world, and this relates to my slightly altered perception of time. Have you ever stepped back and wonder how much time you spend eating every day? It becomes apparent that the amount is a significant portion of our day. Smells seem more vivid now, as well; and processed foods smell more dead to me than usual. So far so good, I say.

1 bit on My Journey into The Master Cleanse: Day 3

  1. Hope your cleanse is going well.

I just read about this in one of my magazines. Sounded interesting, but not interesting enough for me to try it, although everything I’ve read about cleanses point to positive results.

I’ll be back to check on your progress.
