So much is in the state of Becoming right now. Here’s a little glimpse of July at the #CrouchingLionHike. And here’s the lesson Reality is whispering to me today:

When you are embodying your values and holding integrity, if someone rejects you, they are doing you a massive favor.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of rejection this year. Occasionally, someone will reject me in a knee-jerk style, without ever getting to know me. That used to really bother me, but one thing that helped was a farewell conversation I had with a friend, about how sometimes people just don’t click and it doesn’t make anyone wrong. Then she said that she probably had some things to work through regarding her own triggers. Several weeks later, I said that I wished her well on her journeys, and she said that my message really touched her heart and she wished me the same.

#RamDass‘s teachings come up for me in situations like that. That I am all of it; that we are all of it. To truly be free there is nothing we can put away or avoid. We embrace all of it, and love every part of ourselves. And I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to develop more and more compassion for myself and others through all of these weird pandemic growth lessons.
