“The Island on the Edge of Forever” Mythic SF novel cover reveal!

The Island on the Edge of Forever ebook coverFor the past two years, I’ve been working on the most ambitious book I’ve ever embarked upon.

In the process, I’ve hopped to Hawaii and back, twice, somehow skirting infinity in the process, and today I’m ready to share the first glimpse of the result.

It’s not enough to put your heart and soul into something. You have to communicate it with clarity. Your readers must connect with it. It must affirm grace and beauty under pressure, and if my early readers are any indication, this work does indeed. (Once again, a huge thanks goes out to my beta-readers. This book wouldn’t have been a knockout without you.)

So today, I am rather ecstatic to announce that THE ISLAND ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER is now up for pre-order on Amazon. I am also revealing the cover and the synopsis for the first time here. I’ll try to keep this brief, but suffice to say that the cover is a composite of stellar imagery and perhaps the greatest beach on Maui. (And it’s worth mentioning that, even though it is technically the 2nd book in the Epic of Aravinda series, it has been written so that one can start with this book and still enjoy it immensely.)

Please share or like this post if you want to support me. (Buttons above.) It really does make a difference and means a lot. Once again, thank you for supporting an independent author.

Pre-Order Sale!

I’m so happy to finally have this book up for pre-order that I’m having a pre-order sale. If you pre-order before the release date on May 25th, you can snap it up for just $2.99. On the release date, the price goes up, so best to get it now.

And now, without further ado, a short version of the book synopsis:

Beyond the Known Cosmos, on the other side of time…

When Asha and Zahn return to the sapphire forests of Avani after a pivotal victory over the Vakragha, they celebrate their miraculous survival, taking a well-deserved break from the galactic conflict… only to find conflict within themselves.

Bent on consuming every star in the galaxy, the Vakragha will return, and Asha and Zahn consider their options carefully. Yet to everyone’s surprise, a Confederation pilot lands with a new mission: to recover The Kiss of Life. Capable of reviving the dead, the ancient artifact is singular in its power.

I feel so grateful to have been able to write this book. Imbued with countless lessons and experiences that I gained during my time on the Big Island, there’s nothing else like it, and I can’t wait to share it with you on May 25th.

“The Island on The Edge of Forever” call-out for Beta-Readers

aravinda spiral for mythliAll right, so here’s the deal. In short:

The beta version of Book 2 is ready.

Yes, that Book 2.

Those of you reading the Aravinda Loop already know about all this, but for those who haven’t joined the Loop yet, this is your formal notice of impending pants-blowing-off-ness.

What?

The beta-reader group for The Island on the Edge of Forever is mostly formed already, but I thought I should formally announce it.

Oh wait, did I just say that in public?

Yes. Today, I’m happy to announce that the next installment in the Epic of Aravinda series is called THE ISLAND ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER.

And, hilariously enough, it doesn’t involve time travel at all. (Although there are plenty of holes torn in timespace, as per usual.)

If you’d like to join the beta-reader team, just join the Aravinda Loop and reply to the latest email. I will see it. And if you’re not into beta-reading, that’s totally fine. Just do what you’ve been doing. Keep sharing these posts, sending me unsolicited chocolate or Amazon gifts, retweeting my screwball tweets, and generally spreading the word.

Oh, and before I forget, there’s also a little surprise coming to the Kindle store soon. Something I wrote last month, also fiction, that I’m going to release first.

Stay tuned for more on that.
(It’s really flippin’ weird.)

Thanks again for supporting an independent author. Nothing like this would be able to exist without your support.
